铝塑管就是由铝和塑料结合而成的，它的内外两层都是塑料，中间部分是铝，所以说铝塑管同时具备了金属和塑料两种属性。但由于是两种不同的材质，它们的膨胀系数不同，所以铝塑管会出现热胀冷缩的现象，从而导致水管。而PPR管为单一材质，虽然具有低温脆性，但是相比铝塑管，对温度的变化更不敏感，更不易老化破损、更耐用。PPR管的管内很光滑，不容易出现水垢，影响水质的纯净。
PPR管格与管件连接端面必须清洁、干燥、无油。
用卡尺和合适的笔在管端测量并标绘出热熔深度，热熔深度应符合下表规定：
熔接弯头或三通时，按设计图纸要求应注意其方向，在管件和管材的直线方向上，用辅助标志标出其位置。

Measure and plot the hot melt profundity at the pipe end with a caliper and a suitable pen. The hot melt profundity shall meet the requirements of the following table:
When welding elbows or tees， the direction could be noted according to the requirements of design drawings， and the place shall be marked with auxiliary marks in the straight direction of pipe fittings and pipes.
相对于其他PP管材，PP-R管材的突出优点是既改善了PP-H的低温脆性，PVC管业加工，又在较高温度下(60℃)具有良好的耐长期水压能力，PVC管业生产，特别是用于热水管使 用时，PVC管业制造，长期强度均较PP-H和PP-B好。
Compared with other PP pipes， the outstanding advantage of PP-R pipe is that it not only improves the low temperature brittleness of pp-h， but also has good long-term water pressure resistance at higher temperature (60 ℃). Especially when it is used for hot water pipe， the long-term strength is better than pp-h and pp-b.
